AIA's Lifesaving Mission: Bringing Free Medical Care to Ugandans in Need
Access to basic medical services is a major challenge in many Ugandan communities, therefore Action in Africa occasionally organizes a medical outreach program that provides the said services to the people in Nakuwadde at zero cost.
On Saturday, August 27th, the Action in Africa (AIA) gates were wide open by 9 am with tents poised and medical workers bustling and getting ready to receive anybody that sought their services.
AIA STORY-KI? (Meet Jamada)
Hey there! My name is Kalinda Jamada Musa. I will be writing all the cool blog posts and stories you will be seeing on the Action in Africa Blog page and in our newsletter. They will feature one on one interviews with students, staff, and the entire Action in Africa (AIA) community, especially those in Nakuwadde. I will also keep you updated on all the amazing AIA programs and activities that happen at our home - The Center.
The Latest and Greatest from Uganda! 🌍🎉
I just returned from a three-week visit to Uganda and it was a whirlwind trip. This was the first time I'd been back since June of 2021 - and even that was a brief visit due to Uganda going back into another COVID lockdown. It was great to be back on the ground with the AIA team and to see our community center operating at full speed!

Back to Business and Loving It!💃
Throughout the start of summer, the AIA Center has been humming back to life. We’ve been saying it a lot lately, but it is so great to see all of our programs fully up and running after two long years of lockdown. The sound of laughter and pencils being sharpened, the smell of hot porridge cooking, the piles of shoes outside all the classrooms…We just couldn’t be any happier!

We're So Close!
We're *so close*, but we still need $700 to get us to the finish line. If 20 more people can give $35 each - that will get us to our goal!
Together we have raised 86% of the $5,000 which will allow us to purchase:
5 laptops for incoming university scholarship students to use at school
5 new laptops for recently hired Ugandan staff
A new printer for the AIA office in Uganda
Thank you to everyone who has already given for helping us provide these crucial tools!
Join our Computer Campaign! 🎉💻
Last year you pitched in and helped us purchase laptops for our staff and university students in order to give them the tech tools they need to be successful.
A year later, our staff in Uganda is continuing to grow and we have five new university students joining our University Scholarship Program. And while printers aren’t exciting, having a working one is crucial to the work our staff does. That's why we are coming back to you a year later to see if you will once again join us in supporting our tech-related needs in Uganda.
