Our monthly giving fund designed around our scholarship not sponsorship approach to providing food and education for children, salaries and support for teachers, and resources for the most vulnerable families in Nakuwadde.
Previously known as “The Roots,” the Scholarship Society addresses the ongoing challenges in our community of Nakuwadde, Uganda, many of which have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 crisis.
We need 200 MEMBERs who can contribute $10/month
By pledging a small monthly donation you will make a huge impact on so many lives in Uganda, and these funds will directly support our scholarship programs for the women and children we serve.

We believe that greater access to education, creative expression, and physical activity helps to break the cycle of poverty and prepares kids to thrive in all areas of life.
FOR THE TEACHERS
Teachers are essential to our education programs. Without teachers our programs simply wouldn’t exist - and that’s why funds from The Scholarship Society go directly to supporting them.
FOR THE COMMUNITY
Despite great progress in reducing countrywide poverty, Uganda remains one of the poorest nations in the world. In a country where chronic poverty is the backdrop to society, there are critical shortcomings in its developmental policies. We work to address these problems by ending the cycle of poverty.
