Robinah Nandutu, Social Development Coordinator

Robinah joined the AIA team in 2020 as our Social Development Officer before being promoted to the new role of Social Development Coordinator recently. In her role, she supports our community members with much-needed mental health support, developing a strong rapport with our partners in the community, including AIA partners, schools, and parents. She also conducts one-on-one counselling sessions for AIA community members and follows up with home visits as necessary, and maintains confidential records of such sessions and informs the AIA leadership team as critical cases arise.

Robinah additionally leads workshops with teens and women in our community. She conducts sessions in the Women to Women program, which brings together women from different walks of life every Friday at The Center, where they meet to share experiences, learning from each other,  healing, acceptance and have access to educational opportunities that are designed to empower them with skills at their different levels. She also advocates for children's rights through communicating  AIA’s mission and dedication to child protection with the community, and also Men to Men engagements. What Robinah loves most about her work is the opportunity to work with teenagers, students, and parents in the community, and is passionate about enhancing the lives of people within the community by promoting mindset, attitude, and behavioral change while providing hope where she can.

Robinah holds a Bachelor's in Social Work and Community Development. She previously worked as a Project Officer for Habitat for Humanity before joining the AIA team.
