GeorgeWilliam Nsereko - Communications Aide

GeorgeWilliam Nsereko’s professional ambition is fueled by a personal mission to empower under-resourced communities, a passion rooted in his gratitude for Action in Africa (AIA), the organization that mentored and raised him from the age of 15. GeorgeWilliam is a true testament to the impact of our programs.

He grew up within our community participating in everything from AIA’s debates and spelling bees to creative writing workshops. After receiving AIA’s support through both Secondary and University Scholarships, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from Kampala International University and returned to AIA in 2024 as a Communications Fellow.

GeorgeWilliam’s expertise is backed by a diverse professional background across several key sectors. He began his career at Radio Sapientia, a prominent Catholic-based station in Kampala, where he developed his foundational communication skills. Following his graduation in 2023, he transitioned to the public sector as a Communications and Public Relations Trainee at the Uganda Railways Corporation. Most recently, in 2024, he returned to his University in a professional capacity, serving as a Customer Care Officer before AIA’s staff as a Communications Aide.

GeorgeWilliam has had a front seat to Action in Africa’s growth for over a decade.

In his current role, GeorgeWilliam captures the organization's stories and impact through blog writing, video production, and social media reels. He serves as a vital link between the organization and the public by managing media relations, conducting interviews with stakeholders and program leads, and gathering community feedback to monitor and evaluate organizational influence.
