David Masiko, UG Country Director

Prior to working for Action in Africa, David served as the Managing Partner and Chief Strategist at Butali Consulting and Advisory Services Ltd. Additionally, he worked as the Country Representative (Uganda) for the Against Malaria Foundation, as an International Consultant for International Federation of Red Cross and Programme Manager (Health Rights Advocate) with the development arm of Anglican Church of Uganda (Headquarters) showcasing a diverse professional background and a 20 year work experience .

David graduated from Uganda Martyrs University in 2015, with a Masters in Human Rights Law after attaining a Bachelors in Social Sciences (Major in Social Administration and Sociology) from Makerere University following other short courses in Human Resource Management, Monitoring and Evaluation and Project Planning and Management.

David's key attributes include strong Leadership and team building, with extensive skills in monitoring, evaluation, and learning, risk management, humanitarian response, and resource mobilization, coupled with the ability to develop impactful development programs.

Residing in Uganda with his wife, Sarah, and three children – Seth, Eden, and Jordan, David also finds joy in long-distance cycling and spending quality time with his family.
