Rehema Nansereko special needs aide at Action in Africa community center.

Rehema Nansereko, Special Needs Aide

As Special Needs Aide for AIA, Rehema oversees the students in our Special Needs Program. In this role, Rehema supports the students with getting to and from their school programs, with basic needs while they are at The Center, and acts as the means of communication between our students, their families, their physical and occupational therapists, and the AIA staff. Rehema joined the AIA team in 2017 to support one of our students who needed assistance being transported to school but was originally a member of the Women to Women program, where she heard about the opportunity to join the team.

What Rehema loves most about working at AIA is the opportunity to work with kids and is personally driven by the opportunity to live a sustainable life with her children. Rehema attended school up to primary 3 and is currently attending Adult English Classes at the Center with Juliana. She enjoys spending time with her family outside of work.
